Mythic Rain with Jeanne Cotter is a woman-owned company
We as a nation have watched in horror and grief at the on-going devastation Hurricane Katrina has brought to the lives of so many in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and beyond. It has mobilized an unprecedented response of compassion and communal responsibility. As diverse a people as we are in the United States, we understand our deep connection to one another, and provide shelter, comfort, and hope to those who need it the most.

Independent singer/songwriter, Jeanne Cotter, is a voice for that spirit of hope here in America. Enclosed you will find an mp4 file of her song, Shelter Me. Her lyrics are poignant and relative and her voice communicates the passionate compassion of our country.

With the shared talents of pianist Russell Ferronte (Warner Brothers), saxophonist, Gerald Albright (Atlantic Records) and backup singer Ken Stacey (tours with artists including Elton John), Jeanne Cotter's Shelter Me is becoming the theme song of Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

We invite you to include Shelter Me in your regular play list as well as in Hurricane Relief reporting. Please pass this along to all who need a song of hope or can help spread the message.

Shelter Me is found on Jeanne's Diamonds On The Water CD.
